Although multispectral technologies like augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR) 3D sensing, hologram projections, thermal imaging etc. have not yet gone mainstream, they are on the product roadmap of every smartphone and consumer electronic (CE) device manufacturer.
With NIR and 3D sensors capabilities already integral components in the latest smartphone models, combined with next-generation handsets offering multiple front and rear camera support, it’s only a matter of time before applications built using multispectral technologies are rolled out en masse.
Our R&D team are constantly researching the use of image fusion and colour perception technologies in next-generation smartphones to establish how our unique image enhancing technology could be used to further improve multispectral imaging technologies.
If you have an idea about how you’d like to incorporate multispectral imaging into your product development roadmap but are short on internal resource, then please get in touch, as we would be interested in working on a joint development project.
